Pinederrosa RV Park is located next to Lake Richard B. Russell in Elberton, GA. After we fished it in 1986, my dad John fell in love with the area and the lake. In 1991, he decided to open a campground, which led to the creation of Pinederrosa. My name is Barry Davis, and I took over operations in early 2017, when my father’s health began to fail. He passed in April of 2023 and has been greatly missed by everyone here and in the area.
I call it the jewel of the Savannah River. 26,650 acres of fish and wildlife. The lake’s design prohibits any form of development. The Corps of Engineers has imposed restrictions on homes and docks on the lake. The entire lake is surrounded by numerous public ramps.
I have been fishing the lake for 35 years, and a variety of patterns have proven effective here. The lake boasts a substantial population of spotted bass and crappie and a good population of largemouth and stripers. The deer population is robust, with a notable presence of large rack deer. This herd of deer originated from the gene pools of Wisconsin and Texas. You can also hunt 100 yards around the lake with a proper license.
We are 1/2 mile from the closest boat ramp, 7 miles from Elberton, and 6 1/2 miles from Richard B. Russell State Park. Athens, GA, is 35 miles west and Anderson, SC, is 30 miles east.
